  • I would suggest submitting a request for technical support (bottom center of this page). I don't know of any way for the user to correct the date themselves unless it is a manual entry to start with except by editing the raw gps data in a text editor which can be a little bit of a pain.

  • In the app...if you click on one of your own workouts, it will go into that entry. In the upper right of the app you will see three dots. Click on them and you will be given the option to Add Photos, Edit, or Delete. The Edit function will allow you to change the date...among other things.

  • Dan - I think that only works for manual entries.  I just tried with a regular ride I did yesterday and it does not give me the option to change the date when I go in to edit it.  I tried on both the desktop and mobile ap.

  • Oh you're right. When I tested it before entering my post, I did it on a manual entry (a swim). I just tried it on a bike ride and as you said...that option isn't presented. Sorry for the confusion.

I wonder if you can save the workout using My Segments and/or My Routes...then delete the workout. Once it's deleted, enter a manual workout for the correct date , and include that segment/route. Might work??? -- Dan

  • If you are able to export the .Fit file from watch/garmin/Wahoo/etc... you can then upload and edit it with FItFileTools.com the website.   I mainly use that site for removing error spikes in my heart rate when strap is dry or failing.

I had an issue with a Stages Spin bike USB file save... where the date was a defaulted date (like 1989 or something...) and it wouldn't work for me.  Had someone in a support forum (garmin connect i think) help me edit it

  • Hello,

    To change the date :

    1) You have to export your workout on a GPX file

    2) you open your GPX  file by using Workpad

    3) You replace your wrong date by the correct date on all lines

    4) You import your modified file on Strava... and then you will see your workout with the correct date.

    5) You delete the workout with the bad date.

  • Hi.. Strava Support,

I'm having an issue with the app after completing a run it shows a date from the year 2000. currently i am living in the year 2000 in this app on the activity feed. how to fix this issue, kindly consider.

i tried refreshing the location, updated my android software. after all, the issue remains. i read the GPS roll over issue but there should be some permanent solution to it. right ?

  • It seems like you can't even edit the date on a manual entry anymore - which is much worse, because those are ones where you've typed in the date by hand and thus are much more likely to have made a mistake that needs correction in the first place.
