  • A tie for a KOM does not appear in the list of KOMs on the user profile; it does appear when viewing the segment. Here is an example:

  • Tim Dick - It isn't anything new.  They have had an e-bike category for years.

  • Steph Durocher - That is by design.  Strava only really recognizes one KOM for any segment, and that goes to the first person to achieve a particular time.  Anyone after that who matches the time will get it shown on the activity itself, but they do not officially have the KOM (since they didn't beat the previous KOM, only tied them) so it will not show up in their trophy case.  It is set up so you actually have to beat the previous best time to take the KOM, not just match it.

  • My default activity is cycling, but I have also started recording walks on Strava. I have found that on my profile info, the mileage from my walks is being included in my cycling stats. I want to be able to keep the two separate, but currently only Cycling, Running and Swimming are separated out? My weekly cycling data appears correctly on the left hand side of my activity feed, but no walking stats are available there.

  • I want the activity page to always display that activity's best estimated efforts on a set of standard distances. It will allow me to understand how that particular activity compares to other activities, even if they were different distances. An example of when I need this is when I want to use my best 5K estimate as a constant comparison between runs that are 6, 7, 8 or whatever K.

Here is a picture illustrating my point. I recently converted from Endomondo, and there I would get what I have described above as a graphic. This particular picture shows my best efforts on a set of standard distances from a 12K run. In addition to the times, the bars also show on what stretch of the run each best effort was achieved (which I personally think is a nice-to-have, rather than a need-to-have)

When I complete an activity on Strava today, I am shown my "top results". Sometimes they focus on segments, sometimes on best estimated efforts and sometimes they are missing. This is a problem to me, since it does not provide me with the constant, comparable data points that I need to see my progression on whatever distances I am interested in (5K and 10K for me).

  • Sort matched rides by speed, or filter by "bike".

I have two endurance horses currently and have had several more in the past. I have recorded each of them as "bikes". I would love to be able to compare performance over a matched ride for one individual horse as well as across all horses. I would also like to be able to scroll up or down performances over a matched route from fastest to slowest or vice versa. Each year my horses have a rest and then come back into training, so the most recent is not necessarily the fastest.

Hope this is the right place for this post.

I don't think it is right that average speeds achieved during Virtual Rides (e.g. Zwift) are included in the weekly leadership tables for a Strava club. There should be one table for Road Cycling rides and one for Virtual Rides.

  • Tony Phillips you are right, IMHO, but don't get your hopes up that Strava will change anything soon. I've said it before, and I'll say it again ....Zwifting in your air-conditioned home is completely different to doing the same distance in the real world, with traffic, potholes, headwinds, heat or cold, and stray dogs etc to worry about.

  • Most of the features that are available for/to runners should also be available for walkers. I see absolutely no reason to have less features and functionality for walkers than for runners. Why isn't a lot of features that are available to runners available for walkers?

I don't run, but I walk a lot, and I'm just as interested in (estimated) best efforts, PRs and more. And please add a "Walking" tab to the My Stats on my profile page.

  • I'd really like to see a heat map for walking as well.

I totally agree with you Steph Durocher in regards to 'tying' a crown time. I understand the crown functionnalities are meant to be this way, but I think this is totally inconsistent from a user perspective. Either one has a crown or one doesn't. If I see a crown on an activity and I get an email from Strava congratulating me for it, yet it's not valuable enough to appear under the segment or KOM/QOM/CR page, then this crown is a fake crown, or has a lesser value than other crowns. This is not uniform across the platform. I think Strava should either remove such tying crowns at the activity level/emails, or show them uniformly across all app/site features. I understand there would be some complexity do achieve this from an IT perspective, but it would only be logical. If you give me a crown/medal in real life, I get to wear it where and when I want, it is my crown. Why would virtual crowns be any different?

  • At the start of the 1st lockdown I decided to run a minimum of 5k every day. I carried on after lockdown ended and stopped after 200 days. My fitness score dropped off during this period. Any bike ride I fitted in seemed to up the score disproportionately so I decided that either I didn't understand how it worked, or I had configured something wrong, or it just wasn't very good. Unless running every day makes your fitness worse. Anyway I'm ignoring it.

  • Better support for walkers please

Strava has introduced segments for walks alongside runs and cycling. This is a very welcome additional feature (thanks!).

However when exploring an area to find existing segments, there seems to be no way to display walk segments and only walk segments. However a user can easily filter on cycling or running.

Also in the profile, I can set my default sport to Runs or Cycling, but not Walks..

Can we please have parity between support for walkers, cyclists and runners.

A lack of walk segments search facilities reduces the advantages of the walk category for segments. All of my 650 activities are walks (indoor and outdoor).

  • Could we either have the ability to choose the summary statistics, or optionally include walking in the running statistic? You have Bike/Shoe/Water statistics, but if I log a shoe-based workout as a "walk" it doesn't show in statistics.  What would really be great is if you provided statistical summaries for all the sports you let us log.  Thanks for listening.

  • Would it be possible for when we are on the segment finder page to show the segments we currently have the crown on in a different color? I believe this feature would a massive hit. That way people can know exactly which segments they currently have the fastest time on in map format.

  • Would like to request a feature.

Please add a "consecutive days of activity" count.

This could be combined effort, or for individual activities. There should be a minimum required effort of distance and/or time.
Thinking 1 mile minimum or 20 minutes minimum.

The training log is just so so. Would be nice to just have a place that shows "consecutive days of activity"

  • I agree w the guy who calls each of his horses a bike, stats by "bike" would be a good filter. I ride the same roads on my aero road bike in the summer as I do my gravel bike in the winter. My gravel bike numbers are terrible

Additionally the always needed checkbox of solo vs group ride. I have ruined my Strava by riding local roads hanging on to the back of large fast groups. My PRs are numbers I will never come close to solo. Be nice if you could filter that

  • I would like the ability to exclude specific gear from my segment records. I ride several bikes all of which have different characteristics and use an ebike for commuting. I still want to be able to record those rides (I use a heart rate tracker to help manage my calorie intake vs usage, so this is important to me), but don't want to include them in my achievements. It would also be useful to filter based on the gear used.

  • Hi

Lately I have been using my e-bike and using the E-bike feature when i log my rides. I still get on the leaderboards, this did not happen before. Why?

It is messing up my PR and segments, really annoying when i use my regular bike.

  • Create yearly trophies on segments...Some of the "All-Time" PRs are no longer accurate as the trails change over time and are unattainable or completely inaccurate.

This way, this could be a cool feature to see how many yearly trophies you can capture and add to your trophy count within your profile along side of challenge trophies. Gives people a push and new option to chase each and every year

  • Before i pay for subscription, i'd be glad to hear that you solve some problems and you think 'about quality' (as you mentioned it somehere).

so, have problems about poor GPS data been solved?  like for example accepting segment achievement 50-100m before it ends (thus, shortening time by 50-10 seconds...)

do you still accept poor data? or demand from user to use PROPER accurate device ...

  • I thought I was missing something in settings or something in regards to 'Walks'. But am seeing from other comments that is not the case.

As others have mentioned, I will also echo -> please add 'walk' to leaderboards, goal track and default sport options. I had a knee injury and no longer able to run but want to do all the same activity tracking, goal tracking and leaderboard participation as runners.

  • I am using an e-bike beside my regular bike and always categorize my e-bike rides that way. But since some time these rides pop-up in segments and in my stats. That's annoying, because I don't want to compare the speed on my e-bike with my regular bike.

I also see that on the segment my e-bike ride is compared with regular rides for other users.

See the screenshot below for what I mean. I am using Strava in the Netherlands.

  • Flat segments (sprints), should not have KOM so introduce Maillot Vert or MV

For very long segments (kms), do not have KOM but introduce Maillot Jaune or MJ

If you equal a KOM it does not show in the headlines or KOM/CR tab, so introduce a KOMe (equals) which is still well deserved. Similarly MVe and MJe

  • The way Strava handles goals really needs an overhaul. While there are graphics that show progress for some goals (i.e. annual and weekly distance goals) there are others for which there is no indication all. Also there seems to be a bit of hit and miss with respect to notification with respect to achieving goals. I seem to recall seeing notifications about reaching my weekly distance goals on some activities, however, there was no notification at all when I achieved my annual cycling distance goal.

At the end of 2020 I invested in a power meter and I set up a power goal in Strava of 300W for 20 minutes. I achieved this goal in a ride last weekend with 312W for 20 minutes. But there was no indication of this anywhere. Nothing on the ride overview page, nothing in the activity feed and no update of the power goal page itself.

In fact the power goal isn't even shown on the power curve for the ride itself.

The goal is correctly shown in the Best Efforts Power Curve available from the Training menu, but again there is no indication of the goal actually having been achieved even though the graph clearly shows that it has.

And most puzzling at all the goal overview page hasn't updated at all. The latest achieved result isn't shown and the countdown is continuing despite goal actually having been achieved.

Clearly there is some work to be done here in order to make this work. As it is I am left wondering why I am bothering to pay for a Strava subscription when even something as basic as this isn't working properly.

  • 8k needs to be added as a PR distance. It's one of the most common collegiate level running distances, and is popular at road races as well. I suggested this on the previous forums at least 5 years ago where it got some support, and it still hasn't been added.

  • I would like to see ranking by demo group, the intersection of the three demographics you already track: gender, weight class, age group.

I am more interested (more motivated) in knowing how I rank against people similar to me.  When I look at my weight class, that can contain wide range of ages and vice versa.  These can influence performance strongly.  You already have all the data, just do intersection.  I tried to write and app to do this but your API won't let me pull this off.  Please consider adding this simple change.  If you agree, please vote up this post.

  • Top 12

Like many others have asked, please add top 10 trophy case.  But in addition, I'd like to be able to search segments where I am currently in place 11 or 12 so that I can go out and attack those to see if I can improve my results.  This is one of the main reasons I pay for Strava service but it is not currently as motivational as it could be.   Again, I looked at your API but do not see a way I can add this feature myself.

  • If one has a reasonable doubt that a KOM is real (ex having used Ebike or so) can you suggest strava to review and validate?

    0
    コメントアクション Permalink
  • David R.B. - Yes, you just "flag" the activity and note why you are flagging it.  Strava will send a notification to the person and they can validate it or not.  You just have to open their activity on a web browser and then click on the three dots on the lower left and select "flag".
