I want a Top 10 of my personal achievements. For example, a history of when I set each new mile PR. It will allow me to see how I've improved over time, to compare when and where I set my previous mile PR or my first mile PR. The reason that is important is because it will show how I've improved against myself. This exists for segments, I can see when I had my 2nd, 3rd and 4th best time on a segment so I can see how I've improved. I would like the same for mile, 10k, 5k, half, marathon, etc.
Thanks!
I suggest that Strava's desktop and mobile sites provide more information in the "My segments" page. By clicking on a segment, I can see how I've done in a variety of categories. I'm most interested in how I've done this year. I'd like to be able to see something like my performance this year--not just the KOM time and my time--by looking at the "my segments" page. I think this would help me to stay motivated year over year. Since there are some really good times from people that showed up once, but don't ride in my community regularly, it kind of ruins the competition if the goal of a KOM is unattainable. I find myself riding against other regular riders for top times for the year. But then I can't see that info in my segments. I have to navigate to a segment to see it. Also, all of the columns in the my segments page should be sortable so I can rank them by, for example: my time, KOM time, average grade, distance, goal time, rank for best time of year, etc.
Recently, CR - Course Record - got merged with XOM, even for flat segments. It looks like a mistake, as X 'of the mountain' is incorrect if there is no mountain. Course record is a universal term so if it has to be a single term, then take that one.
Thank you Dennis, now please upgrade the CLUBS options/features/possibilities drastically!! We all desperately need them these days.
A BIG THANK YOU from all Strava users.

Barry Gray I try to explaining about virtual KOM´s with unrealistic low or high power:
1. Zwift speed glitch (happens by accident - you speed up to 100km/h or more...)
Example: https://www.strava.com/activities/3144797408/analysis
2. meet up´s (with "keep all together" function activated)
you only need one rider suffering a speed glitch or unrealic high power numbers (see 4.) to speed up the hole group and showing all participents high in Segment rankings.
Example: https://www.strava.com/activities/4016756931/analysis
3. group workouts (with "keep all together" function activated) - same as 2.
4. inaccurate setup showing 1200W or 2000W by accident (depending on model)
even zwift´s alert triangle and breaking due to "cone" is not sufficient to avoid those people taking several segments.
Example: https://www.strava.com/activities/3221254319/analysis
5. Zpower (estimating poweroutput by speed/cadence sensor -> higher cadence gives you unrealistic power output)
https://www.strava.com/activities/3028400446/analysis (compare cadence with power graph)
Those 5 reasons happens mostly by accident, but of course some peoble use it with intention, same as weight or hight settings...
As zwift unfortunatly shows no interest in slowing those errors down, it would need some automated tool by strava to solve the issue with segment rankings full of unrealistic efforts. So what still exists for outdoor cycling whould be needed for virtual cycling even more.
Another (and general) topic is the handling with flagging virutal activities:
There are so many activities who where flagged by the community multiple times, but were resolved by strava support which makes it impossible to flag them again. This issue upsets a lot of users like you can see on innumerable comments and negative feedback out of the communty.
Example: https://www.strava.com/activities/651778151#52074350963
Would be easy to resolve, but would need strava to take action - let´s hope strava will help their image by improving transperency in virtual activities, too!
Would like to request a feature.
Please add a "consecutive days of activity" count.
This could be combined effort, or for individual activities. There should be a minimum required effort of distance and/or time.
Thinking 1 mile minimum or 20 minutes minimum.
The training log is just so so. Would be nice to just have a place that shows "consecutive days of activity"
I would like the ability to exclude specific gear from my segment records. I ride several bikes all of which have different characteristics and use an ebike for commuting. I still want to be able to record those rides (I use a heart rate tracker to help manage my calorie intake vs usage, so this is important to me), but don't want to include them in my achievements. It would also be useful to filter based on the gear used.
I am using an e-bike beside my regular bike and always categorize my e-bike rides that way. But since some time these rides pop-up in segments and in my stats. That's annoying, because I don't want to compare the speed on my e-bike with my regular bike.
I also see that on the segment my e-bike ride is compared with regular rides for other users.
See the screenshot below for what I mean. I am using Strava in the Netherlands.
Flat segments (sprints), should not have KOM so introduce Maillot Vert or MV
For very long segments (kms), do not have KOM but introduce Maillot Jaune or MJ
If you equal a KOM it does not show in the headlines or KOM/CR tab, so introduce a KOMe (equals) which is still well deserved. Similarly MVe and MJe
The way Strava handles goals really needs an overhaul. While there are graphics that show progress for some goals (i.e. annual and weekly distance goals) there are others for which there is no indication all. Also there seems to be a bit of hit and miss with respect to notification with respect to achieving goals. I seem to recall seeing notifications about reaching my weekly distance goals on some activities, however, there was no notification at all when I achieved my annual cycling distance goal.
At the end of 2020 I invested in a power meter and I set up a power goal in Strava of 300W for 20 minutes. I achieved this goal in a ride last weekend with 312W for 20 minutes. But there was no indication of this anywhere. Nothing on the ride overview page, nothing in the activity feed and no update of the power goal page itself.
In fact the power goal isn't even shown on the power curve for the ride itself.
The goal is correctly shown in the Best Efforts Power Curve available from the Training menu, but again there is no indication of the goal actually having been achieved even though the graph clearly shows that it has.
And most puzzling at all the goal overview page hasn't updated at all. The latest achieved result isn't shown and the countdown is continuing despite goal actually having been achieved.
Clearly there is some work to be done here in order to make this work. As it is I am left wondering why I am bothering to pay for a Strava subscription when even something as basic as this isn't working properly.
I really appreciate the PR reporting on the running page.
Is it possible to have PR's for for biking and swimming, too?
Feature Request for UltraRunners !!!
I think Ultra running starts to be a bit more widespread and i/we would like to see Estimated Best Efforts for the following Distances:
-50km (there's already World/Regional Championships for this)
-50 mile
-100km (there's already World/Regional Championships for this)
-100mile
Time Based:
-6h
-12h
-24h (there's already World/Regional Championships for this)
Thank you !!
Jojo - Please look into the issue where people virtual rides on Zwift are getting imported into Strava as virtual runs instead. This is suddenly happening ALL THE TIME! It is messing up the challenges in Strava with a bunch of rides being listed as runs. From what people are reporting, they are not able to go in an edit the activity type in Strava either, so they have no way to fix it. According to the support response I got when I sent that it, they said that Strava is stripping the activity type out of the file when it strips the health data for people who haven't granted Strava permission to use/see their health data. There is no reason Strava should be removing the activity type data from the file. This should be an easy fix.
I would like to see categories for weights be expanded to be more inclusive of the larger bodied riding community. Right now the highest category for Top 10's is 250lbs +. As a 300lbs+ rider, I can tell you that there is not really a comparison to the efforts of a 253lb rider and a 330lb rider. And as a paying customer that is obese I feel that there should be more inclusion for heavier riders so that they can better gauge where their efforts fall with others in their weight group. If I was 80lbs lighter, sure I'd be faster but the reality is I'm not but I still ride regularly and would like to see how my efforts stack up to people that weigh more closer to my weight than someone who's 80 lbs lighter than me.
regarding KOMs and "Cups" (10th through 2nd).
FIRST: i've noticed that KOMs are NOT added to one's profile page if: A) they are shared; B) if the segment is flagged as dangerous.
A) ... i suppose it could be like 'Highlander', and "There Can Be Only ONE!" (and, it's worth striving for the top top spot for sure ;-)... but otherwise, even if shared, it is ON the LEADER BOARD, and, seems like the KOM (or Cup - more on this below) should be listed under one's profile (i track them to make intervals and efforts more fun).
B)... i understand the concern over publishing leader boards of dangerous cycling segments, but, the achievements should STILL APPEAR on one's profile page if one has been through the waiver process, OR, that KOM/CR was achieved PRIOR to whomever complained and flagged the segment (most often disgruntled riders, drivers, or others). aside from 'strava stalkers' nobody would finding these on an individuals profile page, or, otherwise, the leader boards are still visible to those that sign the waiver, so, why wouldn't the achievement be available for my profile page?
Now, speaking of tracking segments to make training efforts more fun... it would be super if on my own profile, i could see which CUPS i had (10th -> 2nd), so i could design rides that included these segments as goals in a structure of my ride, WITHOUT having to track them otherwise, or, search back through my ride history... it could be private, or public... i don't care, but, i would like to have access to the segments where i am in the top 10 on leader boards.
THANK YOU STRAVA TEAM!!
I did a quick search and did not see anything - forgive me if I missed it -
I would love to see a personal leaderboard of "best w/kg" on cycling segments. This is because most PRs are wind-aided and pushing into a headwind would surely be interesting as your best w/kg may not always allow for the best time.
Have you thought about creating an icon for segments when you get a Power (cycling) PB (so to account for headwinds when you don't get a time PB)
cheers
Sam
In Strava settings under 'My Gear' there is the 'Add Bike' button. When clicked the 'Add a Bike' dialogue pops up, one of these fields is called 'Types' ... there is NO 'E-BIKE' option here! Only 'Road, Mountain, TT & Cross' are available to select from. I think Strava should have 'E' versions of these. So when an activity is uploaded using this bike then in, the 'Edit Activity' area the 'Sport' section would automatically be changed to 'E-Bike Ride' and would not have to be manually changed.
I think this would reduce those ebike riders who have no idea or don't know how to change/select their activities 'Sport' type.
Personally, I am using a Garmin Edge 830, under your Activity Profiles you can set the Default Ride Type to 'eBike' and when an activity is uploaded to Strava its already set as an 'E-Bike Ride'
This was mentioned above and I totally agree. I emailed Strava about this issue a few days ago, this is their reply:
And I replied back with:
After that Strava replied by leading me to this "Improved Community Forum" area. So that's were I am sharing my feedback.
Hi,
I still find there is only partial support for people who walk. Usually, there is an option for choosing "Run" or "Swim" but not "Walk".
I have a major problem with my heart, and whilst I enjoy all the Strava Leaderboards, data etc. I would like to see "Walking" as an option or filter everywhere that "Running" and "Swimming" appear.
The present feature-set feels like discrimination against all people who can walk but not run or swim.
Thank you.
'Exclude activity from my achievements' option
The other day Polar watch recorded a run with some wack GPS instead of a road run it looks like a did some mountain summits instead.
I did do the “report GPS problem” thing for this run (i actually had to ask a friend, it was not in the most discoverable place) but this doesn't seem to do anything other than send feedback.
However, it would be great to have a check/switch to “exclude gps from activity” or (even better) “exclude activity data from my achievements” because I want the HR data (for training monitoring purposes) but don’t want to have a PR for something I didn’t do.
I often see segments matching in activities that were not actually ridden in that ride. An example would be a single track MTB trail adjacent to a roadway that is matching when I took the road surface. I would like the ability to remove these unridden segments from my ride so that when I look at the MTB segment, I can see my best results where I was actually on that segment.
Rowing QOM/KOMs and leaderboards are useless without a boat category. Rowing boat sizes range from 8 person to a single, so if you get a fast race time in a single it’s meaningless if someone else goes for a paddle in an 8. And on segment leaderboards there is no way to tell what size boat. If there was a way to designate boat categories on activities this would solve the problem.
Strava mistakenly calculates elevation gain, when track was not recorded (for example during a chairlift use).
And the same problems is with achievements, why do you calculate achievements on climbs which didn't happen ??
TL;DR: I would like to have a button to re-estimate (and correct) the elevation of a ride.
I noticed that some of my (older) rides heavily over-estimate the elevation. The interesting bit is that if I download the .gpx file, delete the ride and upload the identical track again, the elevation is shown correctly. This tells me that 1) the .gpx file created by my device was correct and 2) there was a change in your backend code on how the elevation is computed. This change is certainly for the better, I also observed that the elevation for my recent activities seems very accurate.
I would like to be able to trigger the re-estimation of the elevation without deleting and re-uploading the activity. In that case, all meta-information (kudos, pictures etc) are lost and it involves a lot of manual work. It would be great if there would be a small button "re-estimate elevation" or so.
I am aware of the FAQ answer about this (https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001294564-Elevation-on-Strava-FAQs#:~:text=Click%20on%20the%20%22Elevation?%22,previous%20automatic%20elevation%20correction%20failed.), however, in all my cases there is no "Elevation (?)" button shown. From the FAQ this tells me that the elevation *should* be correct, but unfortunately, it is not.
For an example, see this ride: https://www.strava.com/activities/1415783911
The ostensible elevation is 3200, the real one is about 2000.
Is this a known issue? Have you experienced similar mismatches?
please add a way to quickly view all of my top 10's. why bother showing the trophy in the achievement section of each ride and no way to view all of them? i only have a hand full of koms, but im on a lot of the top ten lists in my area, but the only way i can share that is to screen shot each segment page. at my age and weight making it onto top 10 lists IS a kom for me...
maybe add it to the kom list tab, or give it its own tab like the local legend tab...
Last week I posted the idea of counting the total number of KOMs (QOMs or CRs) per person. Additionally, I think it can be a great step forward if the KOMs are enriched with flags referring to the country in which the Segment is located. In other words:
In the KOMs overview, I would like to see a flag of the country in which the Segment is located, and ideally the option to filter by country. It will allow me to see in which countries the KOMs are located at a glance.
The reason that is important: by this, the App will be more attractive and the competitive part will only be greater, as there will become a new challenge regarding the KOMs: take as much as unique flags as possible!
There seems to be a problem with top 10 places today. I don't think they are being displayed on the information for a ride. I got a new second place overall and it is displayed just as a PR. I wouldn't mind, but I don't get many of these!
I would like to have an option to only see my stats against a time period. On 9/7/19 I was hit riding and nearly died. I am back riding but due to the amount of trauma my body suffered (14 fractures including back and pelvis, now have arthritis) I will likely never accomplish what I had. But I would like to see how I am progressing as the “new me”. I don’t want to lose my historical data (or QOMs) but at this time my only option appears to create a new profile.
Hi. I wish to suggest that, when invoked, the Refresh Activity Achievements tool only consider data older than the date and time of the activity being refreshed. I used this tool today on an activity that was a few days old and the refresh stripped the activity of previously flagged PRs and even of a top ten placing (very frustrating). This would be useful for preserving achievements history.
