  • I'm experiencing the same thing... my biggest climb is listed as 42ft (it was a monster tho)...

  • Same here.  Mine is stalled, also on 42ft.  Is there a way to reset this?  Thanks!

  • The exact same thing is happening to me, and I know for a fact it was a different number the last time I checked (maybe a week ago).  Just noticed today that it was 57 feet instead of ~1300.

  • My issue suddenly got fixed - I didn't do anything (maybe they are rolling out a bug fix?).  Now it says my correct biggest climb.

  • Same here.  Seems that the "biggest climb" is the segment with the largest elevation difference (which is what the stat on the profile page links to), but it's not picking up the right segment.  I submitted a ticket also, but have not heard back

  • My issue started with a fairly flat segment that said it was like 1400ft, so it became my biggest climb. Strava has now fixed the segment's elevation, but still thinks it's my biggest climb at 57ft.

  • Mine has gone up, but still wrong; shows el.diff of one segment, instead complete climb of that ride..come on Strava, you could do better...

  • Segment with the largest elevation difference is how this metric is defined apparently.  If it's getting the wrong segment; submit a support ticket - they fixed mine quite quickly.  You can also define a new segment that has a larger elevation difference and it should pick that one up.  There are some segments with incorrect elevation differences - Strava will fix those if you submit a support ticket

  • I don't even have biggest climb data shown in my profile. No idea why but it's just blank. Rides are recorded on my Garmin Edge Touring, and linked to Strava via my Garmin account. I must be missing something.

  • My biggest climb is definitely "stale".  I recently completed a ride with more elevation gain than previous biggest climb ride.  What does force refresh do?  Is that useful here and why must I explicitly do that?

  • I also have the same problem. Stocked at 2m for a long time and even if I am a premium member. Sent a ticket.

  • I've noticed that the biggest climb only captures a continuous climb, so if there is a  flat spot or a slight dip, the biggest climb data captures it as separate climbs.  That said, I was able to find a route up Haleakala on Maui that measured as a 9,904' climb--was tons of fun (and a very quick descent).

  • I have same problem. Will there be a fix soon? :)

  • I have experienced the same problem on my profile for a number of years. At one point my biggest climb was 1533m (Mt Hotham in Victoria, Australia) and then suddenly this changed to 139m?
It's not a huge issue, however the fact it has been like this for at least 2 years is a bit average.

  • Same here: in my stats the biggest climb is 1.571 m, although this is directly linked to the right climb: Col de Bonette, which is 1.889 m!

  • My biggest climb shows 4000ft+ and i have climbs of 6000ft recorded?

  • Same problem here, my longest climb is also Col de Bonette which, depending on where the starting point is (there is a slight downhill at some point in the beginning), should be somewhere between 1500 and 2000m elevation, though Strava is stuck on a very old climb which was "only" 774m.

Oh, but I'm probably expecting too much from Strava, every one who's been there for some times knows that they don't care about suggestions and bug reports...

  • My biggest climb is also showing a decent, same as the original post here.  Would love to get this corrected to show my actual biggest climb.  Thanks

  • Guys, submit a ticket to Support and they will force refresh your Biggest Climb stat, as Jerry Weiss noted. They fixed mine.

  • Also, don't make the same mistake as I did in understanding which climbs qualify; they have to be a segment, be a certain length, be uninterrupted by flat portions or small descents; they have to be Categorized climbs; and finally, they can't be marked "hazardous". I went back and forth quite a few times with Strava Support over this.
