  • Specific examples and details that illustrate the problem/confusion you are experiencing. For example: When I do ___, then ___ happens and that is not ok because ___.
  • Screenshots that help visually illustrate the problem. For example: Here is a picture illustrating my point ___ from above. See how ___ is doing ___?
  • An explanation of why this is important. For example: This is important to me because ___.
  • If you propose a solution, an explanation of how that solution would help you and why that is important. For example: I think a ___ would be great because then I could see ___. This is important to me because I have to ___.

If someone has already suggested the same idea as you, you can help us quantify the demand for the feature or improvement by upvoting the original comment. To upvote, click the up arrow on the right-hand side of the comment.

  • I would like to see the nickname of the shoe in the filters in My Activities.

The absence of a nickname in this list is very inconvenient for the user. It is difficult for the user to distinguish in this case two identical shoes.

I hope the development team will add a nickname to this list in the future. This is not a difficult task, because there is a nickname in other lists with shoes.
In this list, it seems to me that developers just forgot to add a nickname.

I have two Asics Gel-Excite 8. One is black, the other is lime. Nickname is Lime.

In the screenshots you can find 3 places where there is a list of shoes. There is a nickname in all these lists.

1 - Choosing shoes when adding new activity

2 - List of shoes on the athlete's page

    3 - My Gear

Only in one place did the developers forget to add a nickname - this is a filter on the My Activities page.
    1) At the top of the page in the Training menu, select the My Activities item.
    2) The page opens https://www.strava.com/athlete/training
    3) In the Sport filter, select Run
    4) 2 new filters (Run Type and Shoes) appear
    5) The Shoes filter in the selectbox has a list of all your shoes. Nickname is not displayed in this list.
That is, if you have 2 identical shoe models, then you cannot distinguish them without a nickname.

I contacted Support, but they said that this was not a bug and advised me to write to the forum.

  • Please can you change the sort when searching for activities on your profile on the app to default to sort by date. Currently they come in in a really random order which makes it hard to look through them

  • Feature request: hide all photos that Peloton automatically uploads.

Why? The fitness instructor in the Peloton photo is neither anybody I know nor is it the person I am following on Strava.

I'm sure the people at Peloton enjoy fleecing Strava for free advertising. If y'all at Strava don't have some deal with them, better rectify that!

Don't get me wrong: I'm very happy that my friends are staying active -- whether indoors or outdoors. But the photos of these random fitness instructors who I will never meet are starting to inundate my Strava feed, which I expect to be pictures of maps (in the case of an outdoor activity), a friend conducting some activity, something a friend sees when conducting an activity, etc. What I explicitly am not expecting is shameless advertising from a public company in the form of a random fitness instructor in a studio with studio lighting having their photo taken by expensive photo equipment.

  • Could do with some more options for type of bicycle on the profile, hybrids, recumbents and folders do not easily fit the current options, even an option of " other " would be preferable.

  • Hi,

I'd love if Strava was able to identify a climb in a bike ride, show a list of climbs and categorize them (like in tour de France, Cat. 1-5, HC). I'd really like to see what climbs I've done and compare them. MapMyRide does something like that - the grey background marks the climbs and they are then listed below.

  • Set default map type option

There should be an option to set a default map type (i.e. HeartRateMap) as a default so that it is always shown. Having to go into each and every activity to edit it and set it seems needlessly cumbersome.

    Thank you

  • Jaroslav M. thanks for your suggestion. We currently have categorized climbs, but no way to compare different climbs. You can read more about it in this support article

  • I see this as a common thread and would like to suggest a better way to filter my own Activity Feed.  Since it is great to see Pro Athletes and other Avid cyclists...sometimes their feed gets in the way of the local athletes I follow.  It would be utopia to have "Lists" or something similar so one can choose what to review instead of all activities or only in your club.. basically like Twitter does where you can view the feeds in specific lists.  Thanks for any consideration.

  • Really should add the ability to Start an Activity on your iPhone and have the activity simultaneously start on your iWatch. The Nike Run Club App has had this feature for a long time so is completely something that Strava should be able to offer.

  • Hello, can we PLEASE have an option to block the posts advising of what challenges people have joined. I have to wade through tens of them just to get to activities. You could have a thing on their activity that they are on the challenge, but the separate posts in the feed get overwhelming.

And yes, the forum should/could display last comments first - another wading exercise to get to the most recent comments.

  • I always give kudos to all the people I follow but a few of my followers never do. So I often wonder if they really follow my activities. In Facebooks story one can see all persons who saw the story as well as those who gave a thumb. Is it for Stava to make this possible as well. So I can stop putting energy in these so called followers.

  • Can we please get Strava integrated with the Nautilus family of equipment’s JRNY platform? I just got a Bowflex brand smart treadmill and I’d like to sync my JRNY workouts to Strava.

    1. It'd be great for walks and hikes to get included in the annual total reports, I'm not sure why these get excluded, in fact surely the annual stats could be broken down by every activity performed as all the data is there.
    2. On one's Profile page, it would be great to be able customise “My Stats” to show walks or hikes instead of swimming which is no use to someone who doesn't swim?  😊

  • I'd love "Fastest/longest ____ segment which is your Fastest/Longest Since ____" feedback after every activity.

    For example, I do a 7.4km run.

Somewhere in the analysis part it provides the following info...

Your fastest 400m segement today was 2:32 which was your fastest since 19th October 2021

Your fastest 1km segment today was 5:06 which was your fastest since 13th April 2020

Your fastest 1 mile segement today was 8:42 which was your fastest since 13th April 2020

(do this for 5km, 10km, half marathon and marathon if applicable, maybe add some customisation of distances the user is focusing on)

Todays run of 7.4km was your longest since 23rd December 2021

Todays run of 43:21 was you longest duration since 18 March 2020

The first running app I used (iSmoothRun) provided this information and I think it was so useful to track improvement, way more useful than segements.  And now my PB's are so far out of reach, it would be even more useful to track fitness improvements.

  • Suggested feature/s:

The ability to create workouts with different paces. A user should be a be to create and save different paces e.g. Endurance run pace: 8 min / mile. A user should then be able to create a workout and select from the different saved paces for the workout and/or steps in the workout.

  • Why is there only one category for cross country skiing ?

It's so frustrated because most segments are biaised because there isn't any difference.

Is road bike is the same as mountain bike ? No

So please, take these idea in consideration.

  • Activity Feed.

I would like to have more categories in the activity feed that so I can sort by individual athletes.   I follow friends, pro riders, and other people I do not personally know.   It would be nice to be able to put them in categories so I can select who I want to see in the feed.   I know you can make a person a "favorite" and they would come up at the top of your feed.    But it would be nice to put everyone you follow into a category, and base who comes up on your feed this way.   It would also be helpful to be able to categorize virtual workouts.  I prefer not to see them at all.   It would also be interesting to see those you follow come up in a table view.  One line of data and have the ability so sort.

  • PULL DATA FOR DASHBOARD AND EXTERNAL COUNTER / PHONE WIDGETS

    Hi there,

So my friends and I have this club/ group and a purposeful garage that serves as a clubhouse. We had this idea to count together all our conquered kilometers this year and donate 50 cents /km to charity at the end of the year. Now it would be great to have this information displayed somewhere. First of all in a phone widget but even better and more motivated would be to be able to put up a counter in our clubhouse, as seen for Instagram followers, and display in real-time the km's we individually collect. This would definitely increase our motivation.
Is there a plug-in for such a feat? Some code to access to be able to display such data onto some sort of dashboard and keep it updating in real-time without visiting the website?

  • Allow sport specific feed choices. It would be great to be able to choose to only receive outdoor cycling or outdorr running or other sport specific feeds.  It is great that we are all putting more of our activities on Strava, but I want to see where my "follows" are riding, not what they are doing on Zwift or Peloton or in weight training. Ideally, I'd love to choose "follow all" or "follow X only" when choosing to follow an athlete, but I recognize that is probably more difficult to program than "show me only live cycling for all athletes I follow."

  • I track all of my rides to meet annual mileage goals. I like to track the bike used to make sure I'm using all of my bikes, at least enough to justify them. Please allow users to predefine their default bike for different types of activities (ride, e-bike ride, virtual ride).

    For example:

    • I am a bike commuter and I use an e-bike for those rides to and from work. Let me set that as my default e-bike equipment (also let me default this type of ride as a commute, or notice that it's the same route every day and do it for me..).
    • Some days I take another bike on outdoor rides. Let me set my default outdoor (non-electric) bike.
    • I use a specific bike on my turbo trainer, when Strava gets the input from Zwift it knows the ride was virtual. Let me set my default virtual bike.

Currently, I have my e-bike set up as my default bike because of the number of activities biking to and from work creates. This means three or more times a week I have to go in and change the bike I use for my indoor training rides and another two or more times a week my non-electric bike. Anything that falls outside of those parameters I have no problem manually changing the equipment used.

  • Good for me, something important is missing, which is that it tells you each KM you do in an activity on the watch 4 and if it were by voice better than with a beep, with that and the improvements they have made in the latest updates it would be 10.

  • Since the chamois only has a specific useful life, how about the ability to add your kit to gear? That way you can say, “Oh, these bibs have been worn for over 2k miles so I should probably get a new set!”

  • I would like that you add something like Tracks. It would basically be the same as Routes but, one can go off-road. Routes can only be created on public roads. This feature would allow one to create a route that include roads and off-road (using the blue line on the map to create) and could include multiple segments.

  • Tertius V. - Maybe I am confused, but when I go to create routes in Strava, it lets me go anywhere, including off-road and even totally cross country (no road, trail, path, etc...).  It will default to following known trails, but you can toggle on the "manual mode" which will let you go anywhere you want on the map whether or not there are roads or trails.  You can even tell it to show segments so you can make sure to include them if you want.
