Settings to hide Zwift trainer rides in feed

Is it possible to hide all the Zwift rides within a Strava feed?  It feels like it's turning Strava into a video game.  There should be an available setting to hide Zwift/trainer rides out of the daily feed.

  • Same is here. I have Strava club with people I now from the reality. I don't want to throw them out because they go and ride virtual. Every week there us one on the first place who rode more altitude and km than the rest did. Who rode in deep snow at night outside with minus temperatures. It's not fair that I cannot filter this club as being a reality instead of virtual reality club.

  • It seems that there are now even more virtual rides on Strava. I just saw something called "The Sufferfest". Friend unfollowed.

  • I’d like a kitchen cycling filter.
Can someone from Strava respond please.

  • Should we flag these virtual activitys? Actually they are fake. It never happened in the real world. So is it like cheating?

  • @Elle
4 whole years are gone and Strava still doesn't give a f.ck about the problem.
When are you ready to solve it?

    • Thanks everyone, we have work in progress to prioritize certain activities in the Feed over others. I hope this is able to address some of the feedback here. When this new project is released, I'll let everyone know as we'd be interested to hear if there is any change regarding your experience with Zwift and other indoor rides in the Feed.

If the October update was supposed to address this then it clearly hasn't. I still have 'fake' rides in my Feed as well as "posts" - pointless witterings that I have absolutely no interest in. Please provide a FILTER so I can filter all this bilge out. I don't want Zwift, Turbo or any Posts to appear ANYWHERE in my feed.

I've now resorted to 'unfollowing' associates who do Zwift rides just to get rid of the "noise". I'll be using Strava less and less in the future as finding the information I want to see becomes more and more tedious.

  • @Elle Anderson - Any feedback on when we'll be able to filter out Swift rides.

I am a Premium Member, a keen cyclist and *really* sick of this Zwift crap (workouts/computer images) clogging up my feed.

I don't want to unfollow fair-weather friends, but I do not want to see this stuff. It is not a "ride"

  • By the way, there are several other threads in the forum asking for the same thing.

  • Simon H - Elle is just the messenger here, it ain't her fault. I want to see the Zwift crap not forced on us as well but let's not go killing the messenger.

  • Most annoying for me are those weekly stats on the clubboards with people who ride 9000 vertical meters indoors. Come on get serious Strava and abandon these stats. Every real biker should shame himself for such cheating.

  • I think Swift is a great way to motivate static training.  Static training is not riding even if you sweat the same.  I personally find the commingling of results disingenuous, verging on deceptive.

  • It's bad enough on the feeds, but on the fly-by's feature its unbearable!

Watching hundreds of users going round on the same 'track' across London..

    Completely ruins the feature.

  • I'm not sure I've seen a more butt-hurt bunch of folks outside of a college safe-space as I do on this thread. Do you guys also unfriend those who post real rides but ridden in fair weather or at less than 250 watt avg?

  • My 10 cents worth - I would like my virtual rides to show up in my Profile page under a separate tab so I can track my activity levels privately.  The virtual rides are in the my feed but no totals anywhere.

At present I get a message from from Strava saying I am a couch potatoe ie my weekly distance is 0 which is not a true reflection of my effort.

I would also like to compare virtual rides to real world efforts. For example I have ridden Alpe D’Huez twice in the real world and several times on my Wattbike via Bkool/ etc. I want to use the data to calibrate my wattbike to real world effort levels. This is all for private viewing/ personal training puproses. My longest real world climb locally takes 10 mins which is not much prep for my Ventoux climb next year.

Any guidance on how to achieve this appreciated
