'Network error: Please try again later' - Oneplus 6t

Hi, i recently started using Strava on Oneplus 6t device, when i click on to 'Stats' to see my yearly total activity etc, i keep getting 'Network error: Please try again later'.

This happens even when i have excellent network connection, i'm even able to do all the other activites on Strava except this.!!

P.S -  I have the latest version of the Strava app, as well as tried reinstalling the app multiple times without any results

  • I keep getting the same message when trying to view segments. Only started happening in the last few days.

  • I'm paying for Strava. The solution offered was use a PC. This isn't really practical! Come on Strava fix this.

  • Hi All. I have a OnePlus 7 pro and had the same problem. I think I've fixed it.

I uninstalled Strava and reinstalled, connected to home WiFi, and the issue persisted.

However, I disabled WiFi, connected on mobile data and the segments loaded fine. When I then reconnected over WiFi, they are still working.

  • Thanks Stewart
It Works for me too, but only with WiFi turned off. When a segment has been loaded with WiFi off, I can load it again with WiFi on.
Not optimal, but Better than nothing.

  • Sadly none of this worked for me.  I've also noticed something else a bit odd.  IF I open the activity of someone I follow, I can click on their achievements no problem.  But most of mine give the same error.  When one does load for me, the category "people I follow" in the segment information is missing.

This has been going on for too long now with seemingly no progress.

  • Tried all that folks. Tried clearing cache from app manager...nothing happening. Same again this evening trying to load segments. Even on PC when I try and load segments just with people I'm following it might work now and 5 mins later when I try it again it won't work. Is anyone at Strava listening or working on this at all I'm wondering because there is no acknowledgement anywhere that there is an issue.

  • Same issue. Galaxy Tab S. Can't view any segment stats.

Error... network error. Please try again later.

When accessing on my ipad the segement data takes ages to load. But does work.

Maybe the ios version hss longer timeouts set?

Been using strava for about a month.. segments have never loaded.

  • Ok it stopped working for me but, I got thinking that maybe it is an issue with the Mapbox integration that Strava uses. What I have now done is install, "Mapbox Studio Preview" from the Google store. My thinking was that perhaps it would come with a driver or add something to the phone.

Not sure if it was that but, I can now see all segments and they load first time, every time, for my own and everyone else's.

Really sorry if this leads everyone on a wild goose chase but, it is working for me now so maybe worth a try.

    Best wishes from the UK,
    Stewart.
