Add directional arrows to route shown on map so others can see which direction you were traveling.

I think it would be great if the aerial map-view of rides had little arrows every so often showing the direciton of travel. Looking at my own routes I obviously know which way I was travelling, but when I look at other peoples routes I have no idea unless I'm pretty familiar with the route. This would be very helpful when I'm comparing the altitude profile with the map  when considering new routes. In the case of a section that was done in both directions the arrows could show that also (arrows going both directions)

  • You could try running your mouse cursor along the profile band and follow the blue dot?

  • One of my friends uses a Garmin Forerunner watch and their app has this functionality as per attached for info. I too would love to see this feature

  • I'd like so add myself to this feature request.

This is especially critical in the mobile version where you can't follow your finger on the timeline...

    Here is my original request:

I would like to request adding direction arrows to recorded routes.
Currently, a recorded route is viewed as a consecutive red line. This can be an issue when trying to analyze tracks of friends that use the same road/track to ride on the way out and on the way in. On the map, the two lines converge and I have no way of telling if, e.g., the route was a clockwise or a counter clockwise route. Adding small arrows to the route will make that much easier.

  • If this must go live, please let this be controlled but each user's preferences (arrows on or arrows off)

  • I would also like to see this feature as an option when reviewing tracks.
