Audio notifications on Apple Watch 3 stop my music from playing
I have the following issue. I use the Apple Watch Series 3 (LTE). When I go running I don't bring my iPhone with me. I track my run with the Strava app on the Apple Watch. I also listen to music via Bluetooth earphones. Music is streamed from the Apple Watch, which is now possible thanks to the LTE feature, either via the Radio app or the Music app.
I am having issues with the Audio prompts. When the initial audio prompt says "Starting run" it stops my music. When I then turn the music back on, I don't hear any Audio prompts anymore even though I have enabled them in the app on the watch. Does anyone else have this problem?
@ Strava team. Is there any way to get this fixed?
Btw, now that the AW3 allows you to leave your iPhone behind (you can track your run, track your heart rate, listen to music and receive phone calls) I think a lot of people will switch to using the Apple Watch. I for example have always used Garmin watches but the fact that you can seriously reduce the amount of stuff you need to bring on a run, or a bike ride, is a game changer in my view. I think it would pay off to invest in the watch app vs the phone app.
