Strava not syncing anymore on galaxy watch

Hello,

Since yesterday, the strava app on my Galaxy Watch stopped syncing. When I press on an activity in my history (tap to sync), the watch says syncing, please wait. Usually, the watch then becomes unresponsive for a minute. When I check back after a minute or reopen the app, nothing happened. This suddenly started happening yesterday on the latest version available. I have succesfully synced some days ago with this very same version. I have restarted both my Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Watch but it does not fix the problem. While searching I've found one other user on reddit having the same issue (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/diorau/strava_not_syncing_on_galaxy_watch/).

Thanks in advance!

  • All fixed, nice one!

Now please turn attention to the Bluetooth / mobile device issue coming down the tracks!

  • Had this issue for a longer time now and have about 3 months worth of runs waiting to sync. This includes my first half marathon for 30 years. Any idea when this will be fixed.

  • Whilst the manual sync problem appears to be fixed, now workouts recorded on my Galaxy Gear S3 aren't syncing from my watch to my phone, and there is no option to manually try and resync it.

I did a short 20km ride on Tuesday (12 November 2019) in the morning, which shows up in my history on my watch, but there is no option to manually sync it.

Can someone at Strava let me know how I can solve this?

  • After an update I have lost the tap to sync button after my last ride. But it has not uploaded to strava. Any idea? Using a Samsung galaxy watch 46mm
