Strava App on Samsung Galaxy watch fails to record activity

I've had the sync issue and somehow resolved that. Now I seem to have an issue that Strava sometimes doesn't even bother to record an activity. When I finish my activity, I go to stop recording and I get an error saying the activity was too short to record.  I turned off the auto pause feature hoping this would help, but no change.  I have also deleted and reinstalled the app on my watch.

  • I am getting increasingly annoyed with the same issue that Evan posted. Up to now i have had intermittent problems syncing. Twice this last week my workout has not been recorded at all. I start my activity, continue with workout, and go to finish my workout only to find that im not recording. This is really unstable software and im considering using a different more reliable piece of software or just going back to samsung health... at least i can rely on that.

  • I am having the same issue.  I start Strava on my watch, start running, look at my watch to find Strava has shut down.  I reopen it, but the activity isn't there so I have to restart Strava again.  Sometimes this happens 3 times on a run.

    It is terrible and affecting my running to the point whereby I am thinking of changing the running app I use, which I don't want to as it is a good app that others use, or purchasing a new watch, which again I don't want to do as it is an expensive solution.

    It was working fine until a few weeks ago.  I have restarted the watch several times and deleted the app a few times and reinstalled it, but nothing works.

    I don't know what Strava and / or Samsung have done to make it perform so badly, surely one of you can sort the issue out ASAP.

  • Basically, I'm having the same issue as Mark. Strava is constantly turning off during indoor runs and some outdoor runs to the point where the app is unusable. This has been a problem on my galaxy watch for weeks now, even with the most recent updates installed. Please try to sort it out or it will be time to move back to garmin as I never had any troubles with their apps.

  • I have the same issue: this week I made 3 acitivities, I stopped the record and all was OK (I saw distance, time and so)  but the sincronization failed and no data saved; what to do? Maybe Android 5.0.1 could be the problem?
