  • I want a club that I can select any activity type that I want. It will allow me to get more people to walk, not running, cycling or what activity the choose. Having a club would get more people from the couch to their feet moving.

Then on the club page I want a filter function on the leaderboard as it will allow to filter club activities depending on if it is running, walking, or cycling and so on.

In the club I want to create an event, that the people in th club can connect to one of their activities, which also could become a secondary leader board.

    Thanks!

  • How do you leave comments or give Kudos as the Club (admin), instead of from personal account?

  • I want more configureable periods for leaderboards, like monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, yearly and a by user customizable timeframe. It will allow me to better track who's in the lead over required timeframe. The reason that is important is because of challenges, events and general competitiveness amongst club members.

  • I want more configureable columns for leaderboards, like days sported, (average) moving time, (average) elapsed time, fastest split, average cadence, max cadence, average heart rate, max heart rate, average adjusted heart rate (based on age), (average) adjusted max heart rate (based on age), average power, average calories, average adjusted elevation (based on distance), average adjusted elevation (based on time). It will allow me to do a more thorough analysis. The reason that is important is because of comparing athletes with each other, learning from training specifics from other athletes and increasing competitiveness.

  • I want to set the default leaderboard view on webapp and mobile app (Android/iOS) for a specific club to last week, month, quarter, bi-annual, year or custom timeframe instead of 'this week'. It allows me to quickly see who's in the lead for the timeframe I'm interested in and not having to reset it each time I revisit. The reason that is important is because of increase in productivity and user friendlyness.

  • In this article Clubs on Strava – Strava Support it says that "The owner cannot leave the club until ownership is transferred to another member". However, I do know of at least one instance of a Strava club that has no owner or admins and therefore is just an empty corpse.

The Strava Support Team was unfortunately nowhere near helpful to support transfer of ownership or admin rights to an active club member. Very sad!

PS: The support ticket is still open for anyone to follow the conversation: Aw: Strava ticket #2402881 No Group Admin for group "RSC Lüneburg" – Strava-Support

  • Please can you make it possible for people to be part of a team, but in an "admin" role - i.e. their activity doesn't get included in the stats?

Also, is there an easy way to download the weekly stats from club data, to pull into a spreadsheet, for example?

  • On the mobile app, only 4 clubs are shown in the profile tab. You have to tap All Clubs to see more. It would be great to be able to manually select which 4 clubs are shown in my own profile. As it is, it seems somewhat random (or perhaps, the 4 clubs I joined earliest).

  • More options for recurring club events.

My running club meets each week and runs a route taken from a fixed list.  I'd like to be able to set up an event that occurs on week 1 of each year running Route #1, an event in the 2nd week of the year running Route #2 etc.  But the recurring event pull down only gives my options to repeat every 1,2,3 or 4 weeks.

    Cordialement

  • I would like the weekly total miles in the club to be displayed like the personal miles in a graph form, so we can see just for wee cycle each week as a club and over time.

  • Can an option for be added for clubs to be geographically restricted. See screenshot. This is a challenge for the Red Bull UK club. It makes no sense for people outside the UK to be a member of this club and it detracts from the challenge which has prizes which are only eligible to UK residents. Can understand a brand allowing anyone to join but not when it’s specially a UK club. I am a member of many clubs and have my own clubs which have obvious geographical limits in the title, ie Strava Scotland or Kintore Group rides. The latter is my group, set up for locals to my town Kintore, I have a member in there from Columbia who once signed up for a group ride. Everyone just joins lots of clubs and a lot of it makes no sense especially big ones like Red Bull UK or Strava Scotland.

  • Bookmarking Clubs: Often there is a club that I wish to follow, typically from a location that I vacation or a hometown but I do not live there, as examples. I do not wish to join the local Strava club…they don’t need to see my every distant-location workout on their activity feed.  It is hard to remember the clubs, though, if I don’t join. My suggestion is for a method, perhaps as a feature of a paid subscription, to Bookmark Clubs. Simply allow me to mark them, store in a new Bookmarks tab, and then I can return to these clubs periodically to see activities and postings. The feature bookmarks might be used for other Strava “pages” that a subscriber might wish to someday return to, like conversations, a specific activity of their own or someone they follow, etc.  Thank you for considering this idea. • Tom Benzaia totally agree on your comment regarding the foibles of event editing.  I've set up club runs, then gone back to make route changes - folks who have already RSVP'd get a notice that the location has changed!  This results in some mild panic on their part given that the STRAVA event shows no changes.  There should be a toggle option for the event creator to "Notify Participants" if the update warrants a shotgun blast of app alerts and e-mails.

  • Matt Sanchez - I also agree, but being a software developer, myself, I'm painfully aware of how easy it is for notification emails to become seriously annoying SPAM, so always try to come up withe a solution that involves zero or well focussed emails. It's not easy, but the easy option is quite often the wrong one

  • As Strava seem to be largely ignoring the requests about including any activities in leaderboards, I feel compelled to make another attempt to let you all know about the chrome browser extension that is available for dealing with this.

It only works on desktop browsers, at the moment, but this may change, in future (if Strava don't provide a solution, themselves)

  • Strava, can you please explain to me why we can not create, edit or even read Club Event Discussion posts from the mobile app? Maybe I am not understanding what that feature is for, but my group tries to use it to update all of our members of bad weather or other things that may affect the event. Not being able to view them or create them while mobile is a huge deterrent from using that feature all together.

    Please advise.

  • @Tim Turnquist
    In the mobile app...
    Go to 'Groups'
    Select the 'Clubs' tab
Select the club that you're interested in
When you are at the top of the page, there is an orange circle with a '+' symbol, at the bottom of the screen - click it.
    Select 'Post'
    Off you go

  • beluga bob, yes, I see that for regular Group posts, but not for Event specific Discussions.  On the web app there is an ability to post directly to an Event which doesn't pollute the regular Group Post feed.  That comes in handy weather throws a whole lot of ugly at us and we want to notify those signed up for the event that we need to cancel.  It would be nice to be able to do that from the mobile app as well.

I do see we can 'Cancel the Event' from the mobile app, but that is not always the appropriate path. For example, someone (who is not an administrator) may want to let everyone know about incoming weather, but not necessarily cancel it.  Maybe they want to suggest a different starting time or different route or something else and there should be a way to have a discussion about it -- from a mobile device, since most of the time we are enroute to the Event when the news comes in.

  • I want Club Events to include the option of a swim event. It will allow me to set up club swimming events. The reason that is important is because Strava focuses on bicycling, running and triathlon. An example of when I needed that was recently the club wanted to set up recurring masters swims and allow for club members to see who will be attending those masters swims.

I almost posted this as a bug fix item, since the inclusion of swimming events for a triathlon club would be a necessity.

Either way, I'd really appreciate a quick update that allows for club events to include swimming.

  • Other recent activities are back to the Clubs. It's fixed.

If "other activities" comes to club leaderboards, there would be great!

Or even better, when club could be dedicated to only one specific activity. For example inline skate.

  • I just checked, and I can still only see runs and rides in our club page - the club is definitely set to 'other'

This is very annoying - folks ask for extra functionality, but functionality is taken away then when it's reported the response is that it's fixed, but it appears not to be.

Not good enough, Strava - especially for those of us who pay for premium membership.
