  • Specific examples and details that illustrate the problem/confusion you are experiencing. For example: When I do ___, then ___ happens and that is not ok because ___.
  • Screenshots that help visually illustrate the problem. For example: Here is a picture illustrating my point ___ from above. See how ___ is doing ___?
  • An explanation of why this is important. For example: This is important to me because ___.
  • If you propose a solution, an explanation of how that solution would help you and why that is important. For example: I think a ___ would be great because then I could see ___. This is important to me because I have to ___.

  • I have posted there a few times about this and you guys close it and say it's SOLVED....well then why arent track bikes in the gear section?

Seriously? This is a REALLY basic change here...just add track bikes to the list. You have gravel bikes? which are cross bikes? but us velodrome racers have to use road bikes?

This is something that should have been in there before...

So, what gives? whats the big problem here? Yeah, I am nagging, because it is such a dumb and easy change...you have accommodated tri people, swimmers and runners and all sorts of other stuff but you cant add a new bike type?

Explain why this isnt happening....BEFORE you tuck this away in the solved section....unless you mean solved as in "we arent going to do it."

I mean really, out of all the overly ambitious suggestions in here this has got to be the most basic...what you dont like track racers? sheesh....

  • Manually add "miles" to indoor ride recorded with wearables

Recently as it's cooled down I've started doing indoor rides on an upright stationary bike (Schwinn), using my Apple Watch to track heart rate and workout duration.

It works great (I'd rather be outside), but I don't like that I am unable to add the "miles" for the ride. And this sucks because when I look at my weekly miles it's basically saying I have 0, even though I've ridden the equivalent of say 70-80 miles. This actually throws off my overall stats. And the "miles" should actually count, because I'm working every bit as hard for them as anyone doing a "Zwift" ride on a smart trainer, whose virtual "miles" are automatically uploaded.

Of course if I add the activity manually, I can add the miles that way. But then it won't sync the heart rate, duration, and calorie data.

The best solution would be for Strava to add the option to edit the activity and manually add the miles for indoor rides recorded with an Apple watch (or other similar wearables).

  • Please will you increase the age categories to >80 years old. There is an increasing number of active octogenarian athletes, and this age category has already been embraced  by, for example, Zwift and Park Run. At this age, a five year age gap is very significant,  and this would allow us to continue competing on an equal footing.

  • Default Gear suggestion

I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this before, I think it will be much more convenient if we can set a default gear for each type of activity, for example for road cycling bike A and for mountain biking bike B instead of editing the activity and change the gear.

  • Good afternoon

I would like to do the following.

create my own power zones instead of using just an FTP number.

remove all user posting zwift rides to club leadership board with in a club just have another tab for zwift.

remove all electronic/Battery bikes from all leadership/Koms boards and place them on another tab.

  • TrainingPeaks has a nice feature called "Peak Performance", which gives you a medal when you get a new peak power, run pace, or heart rate for various time intervals (1 sec, 5 sec, ..., 60 min). Would it be possible to add something like this for Strava as well?

"Peak Performances: Whenever you hit a peak power, run pace, or heart rate, you will be rewarded with a medal. Quickly see improvements toward your goals or review how your Peak Performances have changed over time."

  • This Forum is about sync activity history from Apple Health to Strava

I have near 3 years of running history on Apple Health, however, Strava only allows me to sync past 30 days of them... It is kind of heart breaking.

I know it may be caused by some Apple's privacy policy but still, if there is a way to fix this will be nice.

  • I would like the ability to select, “workout,” or, “long run,” when I complete a virtual run on zwift connected through to strava. Currently I can select only, “commute,” which is ridiculous because how are you going to commute with a virtual run? Also should be able to select, “race,” for virtual runs. I normally use strava mobile on iOS to edit activities after they are automatically connected to strava through garmin or zwift. This is important because I often use the training log to find memorable workouts that I want to repeat or compare. They are tough to find without the cross-hatching used to mark properly designated workouts. The current option is illogical and seems like it must have been a mistake.

Fica, assim, registrado meu desejo.

  • Simple Route Filter to Show Only Favourites

Could add other filters for type, distance, location etc, but just being able to show Favourites would be very helpful as these are the ones synced to Garmin et al.

Also a small tag to indicate when Route was last synced with 3rd party like [Synced Garmin 2021-11-19 08:33]

  • I think offering segment leaderboards by comparing simple watts would be be a great motivational tool for larger riders who can never get a KOM but clearly are working.

It would also help be a great training tool when focusing on power.

  • I would like to export ride data for several rides at once, just the averages and not the full ride (.gpx, tcx, etc.) files.

The purpose is so I can plot bulk data, like AVG PWR per AVG HR over a range of dates to see trends. Or even simply AVG HR over a range of dates for matched rides.

  • In clubs i would like the ability to select from a range of sports. I have seen that you have added walking which is great but that changes the whole club to walking and you wont see anything else. For us and many other people we use clubs to push the time spent doing any sport between friends and find it very effective but we need more categories

  • I think it would be a good idea to add a filter option in the users profile and other places to differentiate between indoor and outdoor cycling activities in the annual and monthly totals, including clubs weekly statistics.

  • Along with distance goals, it would be if you could add an elevation that could be set, and be able to watch your progress easily to see if you are running behind or ahead of schedule.

  • Along with the weekly club leader boards, it would be great if you add off to the side a year to date leaderboard for distance and elevation as well, thus adding the challenge visibly amoung club members how they are doing against one another all year longs

  • Kenny Leduc - Regarding elevation goals, there is a way to do that.  It is a little buried, so not the best thing, but it is there if you want it.  It is only accessible and viewable on the mobile app.  Click on the "You" button on the bottom right of the screen, then click on the "Progress" tab on the top.  You should see a "Goals" section.  Click on "See All Your Goals" in the bottom of that window.  From there, you can click on the "+" sign in the top right and set a goal for climbing.  It seems to only let you have a total of 6 goals set at a time, but at least it is better than just the distance goals available through the desktop program.

  • I have an idea regarding flagging athletes that are on the leaderboard for KOMs under erroneous circumstances. Many cycling KOMs (or top leaderboard places by age class) are now the result of e-bikes, which Strava appears unable to identify. Moreover, most of riders who are using e-bikes and inadvertently attaining spots far up the leaderboard are not doing it with intent and are fairly easy to spot, as most are riding well beyond the physical capabilities of what is likely of someone with a low level of training and often advanced age. That said, sometimes it comes down to seeing a picture of their bike. What I would suggest is either an algorithm based flag (which could be overridden by the person) that states that "your ride has been flagged as a result of indicators, which suggest that this achievement was done using power assist" (or something like it). I would be happy to suggest some of the ratios and indicators, which could be used but I suspect that you folks are smart enough to develop these based on the massive database that you have by rider sex, age, weight, average training, heart rate relative to calculated wattage, etc., etc. Another option would be that all riders would have to make an acknowledgement at the end of each upload certifying that achievements were accomplished without power assist (kind of a pain for Strava users but better than the current situation). Quite frankly, if this does not get addressed very soon and resolved, one of the key features of Strava, the leaderboard, will be rendered meaningless.

This would give insight as to fueling as a part of an overall health and nutrition plan for seniors.

  • Activity Report of Clubs

We have a Strava club at the company I work for and it would be really nice to quickly look at what we have achieved together over a certain period of time. This report could lead to encourage those who are not active yet to get up from the couch plus maybe encourage those who are now using other tools than Strave to join the Strava community ;)

Should not be a hard thing to handle from the technical perspective but would add tremendous value to club admins.

    Thanks

  • I'd like a way to move components from one bike to another in the Gear section.

Specifically, I have a pair of power meter pedals as a component on one bike, and I’d like to transfer them to a different bike, as a component under that bike, and keep the distance the pedals have done as a total between the two bikes, so that I know when the pedals would need maintenance.

  • For that last few years, I've been setting an annual mileage target (bike), and in 2021 I added an annual yardage target (swimming). I would love to be able to compare my annual "achievements" with other Strava athletes with public activity profiles.

Perhaps this is functionality that already exists and I just don't know how to access it?

How cool would it be to have global leaderboards by sport/year?

  • Eric Chilton thanks for this suggestion. While goals are private, if your profile and activities are set to "Everyone", you can compare your Year to Date stats for running, cycling, and swimming with other public profiles. This is done by logging into the website and viewing another profile. You will see a side-by-side comparison, and can even toggle through previous years' data.

  • New activity:
I'd like to see "Ice Climbing" added as a new activity. Possibly adding Sub Genres. Under "Climbing" there could be choices of "Ice", "Bouldering", "Trad", etc.
Maybe looking into a way to sync climbs with the "My Climb" app (https://www.myclimb.com/).

Also, making "My Gear" choices a little more focused. Instead of just "Running Shoes", the user could put in what type of footwear it is, (like hiking boots, climbing shoes, ski boots) . I don't use running shoes on a 8 mile hike, while climbing, or while skiing.

  • Hello,
would it be possible to modify the existing list "Type of bike ride", which currently includes only 3 choices: rien, Course, Entraînement (Nothing, Race, Training).
I would like to be able to add "Vélotaf" (comute) and "Vélut" (useful trip), as well as "Balade" (cool trip on short/medium distance) and "Voyage" (stage of a longer trip).
Ideally I could create my own list, as well as designate a default activity.
Concerning the comute, a label already exists in the list: "Déplacement - Transport", which appears as "Trajet domicile-travail" on the maps... and another label "Cyclisme en salle". The difference between Label and Type of bike trip is not clear nor very practical.
    Thank you.

  • I want to create on water segment start/finish lines rather than points in addition to allowing for greater deviance in the route between the start/finish lines. It will allow me to do match more segments segments. The reason that is important is because on the water sometimes the start and end points aren't fixed and the route between the start/end may vary. An example of when I needed that was https://www.strava.com/segments/22796842.  Strava rarely matches this segment but I frequently complete it.  The route I take from the harbor mouth to the green body can vary depending on current and waves.  The visual end point is the green buoy which can drift with the current and wind.  If there was a virtual finish line to cross that was parallel to a start line, there would be a higher likelihood of matching segments.  On the water, we care less about following the exact route so long as the start/end is across a line.  The segment could be a straight line, but if someone gets point to point faster following a longer path, I would happily give them kudos.

  • When you show retired shoes on the Gear page, please group those together at the bottom. I like looking at gear (retired and not retired). It would be nice if the gear were grouped in a more logical way. Also let us sort by brand and shoe name.
