Personal Information Sharing Opt In/Opt Out

We don’t sell your personal information for monetary value, and the only way we’d share it is if you give us your express consent by opting in. If you choose to opt in, you have three ways to opt-out. Read on to learn more about your options.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary value. However, various U.S. state laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), define a “sale” or “share” broad enough to potentially include non-monetary transactions, such as using third-party cookies to serve targeted advertising. We do not share your information for targeted advertising unless you have expressly opted into accepting non-essential cookies using our cookie banner, as disclosed in our Cookie Policy.

If you have opted in, you can opt back out by adjusting your cookie preference here. The Personal Information Sharing setting provides you two additional ways (see below) to opt back out or to proactively control whether your personal information is shared with third parties to provide you with targeted advertising for Strava on other platforms.

On the web, scroll to the page's footer (look to the lower right of the page if you’re viewing the feed). Click on Do Not Share My Personal Information. If you click "Opt Out", we will not share your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

On the mobile app, open your settings from the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the You tab. On iOS, Tap Privacy Controls > Personal Information Sharing. For Android users, tap Privacy Controls > Do Not Share My Personal Information.

  • Enabling the toggle (highlighted orange) will prevent your personal information from being shared.
  • Disabling the toggle (highlighted grey) will allow for this information to be shared.
