Supported Sport Types on Strava

Written by Rochelle Garcia

Except for virtual rides, runs, or rowing, you can record any of the following sport types with the Strava mobile app. If you're recording with a third-party device or app and syncing to Strava, you may not see the recorded sport type reflected on Strava. However, once any activity is uploaded or synced to Strava, you can change the sport type to any supported sport type.

Any sport type that can be performed outdoors will include a map by default. By default, our new sport types, Basketball, Volleyball, Padel, and Cricket, will include a map, except for Dance. To view our latest sport types, please make sure that you have updated your Strava app to the latest version.

Please be aware that some of Strava's features are currently only available for our three core sport types, riding, running, and swimming.
