Reporting Explicit or Sexual Images Shared Without Your Consent

Written by Rochelle Garcia

This article explains how to report instances where your intimate or sexually explicit images are shared on Strava without your consent. This includes AI-generated intimate or explicit images, also known as deepfakes.

Strava’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy prohibit any sexually explicit or intimate imagery on the platform, including content produced or shared without consent.

How to Report Photos and Videos

You, or someone reporting on your behalf, can report a photo or video directly on Strava:

  1. Find the photo or video you want to report and tap or click on it.

  2. Tap or click the options icon (three dots).

  3. Tap or click Report Photo/Video.

  4. Select "Harassment," then select "Threatening to share or sharing explicit or intimate personal imagery."

What Happens Once You Report

  • You will receive an email with our enforcement decision, indicating whether the content violated our policies.

  • If the content violates our policies, we will remove it and may take action against the account that posted it.

  • If you'd like to appeal the decision, follow the steps outlined in that email. You have up to six months from the date of the decision to appeal.
