Race Discovery makes it easy to browse races near you and link to the official registration site, right from the Strava app.
How to find races
Tap the Groups icon at the bottom of your screen.
Tap Events, next to Challenges and Clubs.
Browse popular races, or tap View all to see more.
Tap any race to see full details, distance, elevation, location, and date.
Tap Register to go to the race organizer's site to complete your sign-up. You'll see a heads-up that you're leaving the Strava app; that's expected.
FAQs
How can I find local club events?
At the top of the Events tab, you'll see local club events happening near you, organized by Strava clubs in your area. If you've joined any upcoming events, they'll appear in Your Upcoming Events.
Where did the Active tab go?
The Active tab has been replaced with two more focused tabs: Events (for races and club events) and Challenges (for tracking your in-progress and completed challenges). You'll find both under the Groups icon.
Do I have to pay to use Race Discovery?
No. Browsing and discovering races is free for all Strava users. Registration fees, if any, are set by the individual race organizer.
Why don't I see any races?
Race Discovery is rolling out gradually by language and region over the next couple of weeks. If you don't see it yet, check back soon and make sure your app is up to date.
Can I register for a race in my local currency?
Pricing shown reflects your region, where possible. Registration and payment always happen on the race organizer's site, not in Strava.
