How to change your default Highlight Image

When you upload photos to an activity, Strava highlights one photo in the feed - either the photo you designate as the highlight photo or the first photo taken by your camera. If you prefer to show the map instead, you can set your preferred default highlight image in your settings. Visit the Settings menu on mobile and look for Default Highlight Image. Tap the setting to toggle between Photo and Map. On the Web, the default Highlight Image setting can be toggled by visiting the Display Preferences tab of your settings. If you have feedback about photos in the feed, please fill out this form.

  • Is this setting only applied to new activities or will it also be applied to also previous activities?

  • Changing that setting have no effect..

  • Is there a glich in the system? It had no effect on previous workout.

  • I have the same experience as the earlier commenters on this topic: toggling the setting seems to have no effect. What’s worse, I cannot even get the map to display on activities at this point. Why would that be?
