What are Flybys?
Flyby is a Strava Labs tool that lets you playback your activity, as well as those near you, on a map and timeline. You can access your Flyby by clicking the button on your activity details page on the web. Alternatively, you can manually enter your activity ID into the Flyby tool.
Managing your Flyby Privacy Controls
- On the web, go to your Settings page by hovering over your profile picture in the top right and selecting 'Settings.'
- Click on the 'Privacy Controls' tab on the left side of the page.
- Select 'Everyone' or 'No One' under 'Flybys.'
- On the mobile app, open your settings from the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Home, Groups, or You tab. Select 'Privacy Controls' on the next page.
- Select 'Flybys' to choose between 'Everyone' or 'No One.'
How it Works
You have the ability to opt out of this feature entirely if you do not want your activities to be included in Flybys.
- When you select Everyone:
- All Strava Athletes:
- Will be able to see if you crossed paths or were nearby on a Flyby.
- May be able to click your Flyby avatar to open your Strava activity.
- Anyone on the web:
- Will be able to replay your Flyby if they have a link to your activity.
- All Strava Athletes:
- When you select No One:
- No One:
- Will be able to see you on Flybys, not even yourself. You can still view other athletes' Flybys if they have the setting enabled.
- No One:
