Athletes can redeem promotional codes generated by Strava or one of our business partners. There are two types: a Promo Code, which gives you a free subscription, and a Discount Code, which gives you a percentage off a subscription purchase.
Discount Codes can only be redeemed while your account is Free. If you're currently a subscriber, you'll need to cancel your subscription and wait for it to expire before redeeming a Discount Code.
Existing subscribers can redeem Promo Codes, but only if you subscribed through the Strava website. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you'll need to cancel your subscription and wait for it to expire first.
If you need to cancel your subscription to redeem a code, see How to Cancel Your Subscription. Canceling and waiting for your subscription to expire won't affect your uploaded activity or segment data.
How to Redeem Your Discount Code
You can redeem a Discount Code at checkout using a Free account.
Visit strava.com/subscribe.
Enter your Discount Code and select Redeem Promo Code.
The discount is applied to the total price.

Using a Free account, you can redeem a Promo Code here:
Visit strava.com/subscribe/redeem.
Enter the Promo Code and select Continue.
Select Confirm to complete your upgrade.

Why am I having trouble redeeming a promo or discount code?
Confirm whether you received a Promo Code or a Discount Code. If you can't redeem a Promo Code, you may have an existing subscription through the App Store or Google Play. Make sure that subscription is canceled, and your account is back to Free. If you received a Discount Code, your account must be Free before you can re-upgrade with it.
Can I redeem Discount and Promo Codes through the Strava app?
No, both types of codes can only be redeemed through the Strava website.
Can I redeem multiple Promo Codes?
Yes, you can redeem them one at a time here.
If I redeem a Discount Code, what price will my subscription renew at?
Discount Codes only apply to the current subscription term. Your subscription renews at full price. You can confirm your renewal details on your Account page.
If I redeem a Promo Code, what happens to my subscription at renewal?
If you have billing information on file, your subscription renews at full price. If you don't, your account returns to Free. You can confirm your renewal details on your Account page.
