Strava gift subscriptions let you purchase a year of premium features for a family member or friend. You can buy an annual gift subscription on the Strava website, with a limit of one per purchase.
Redeeming a Gift
If someone buys you a Strava gift subscription, you'll receive an email with a unique redemption link. Follow the instructions in that email to redeem your gift. What happens next depends on your current subscription status:
New to a paid subscription: Redeem your gift using the link in the email. Your feature access begins right away.
Already subscribed through the Strava website: You can redeem your gift without canceling anything. It extends your feature access and renewal date by one year, and your subscription then renews as normal.
Already subscribed through the App Store or Google Play: You'll need to cancel your subscription and wait for it to expire before you can redeem the gift. Once it's expired, redeem the gift using the instructions or link from the email. At the end of the one-year extension, you'll need to resubscribe.
Currently in a free subscription preview: Redeeming the gift gives you access to features for 1 year from the date you redeem it.

No, gift subscriptions are only available through the Strava website.
How long do I have to redeem my gift?
All gift subscriptions must be redeemed within 12 months of the purchase date.
Can I gift a monthly subscription?
Currently, you can only gift an annual subscription.
Can I give a gift to someone who is already subscribed?
Yes. If they subscribed through the Strava website, they can redeem their gift at any time before it expires, extending their subscription by another 12 months. If they subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, they must cancel their current subscription and wait for it to expire before redeeming their gift. All of their subscription features and data will carry over.
Can a Strava gift subscription be refunded?
Gift subscriptions may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase. If the gift was redeemed, the recipient's subscription will automatically be downgraded back to Free.
