How Do I Customize My Heart Rate Zones on Strava?

Strava subscribers can customize their heart rate zones by entering a max heart rate or setting custom zone endpoints in their My Performance settings today.

Athletes who subscribe to Strava can use heart rate analysis. By default, we determine your heart rate zones by estimating your max heart rate based on your age. The formula Strava uses is 220 minus age. While this works for many athletes, it may not work for you. For athletes who know their heart rate zones, we allow you to customize them to fit your physiology.

• Enter your max heart rate in your profile settings, then select My Performance from the left side menu.
