How Do I Upload a Strava Profile Picture?

Upload, change, or remove your Strava profile picture on the website or in the mobile app, and fix common photo errors like blurry or sideways photos.

You can upload, change, or remove your profile picture at any time on the Strava website or mobile app.

From the website:

  1. When logged into your account, hover over the menu in the top right corner of any page and select "Settings."

  2. Click on the plus sign under your current profile photo, and a window will open to select the image file from your computer. JPG and PNG are accepted image file formats.

  3. You can also click "Remove" to remove your current photo.

From the mobile app:

  1. Open the "You" tab and tap your profile picture from the top navigation bar.

  2. Tap "Edit Profile" then tap your existing profile photo on the next page. You'll have the option to take a new photo or choose from the existing photos on your device.

Common Profile Photo Errors

  • If your photo appears blurry, please upload a higher-resolution photo or crop more of it.

  • If your photo is sideways or upside down, please access the original photo on your phone or computer and either crop it to correct the orientation, or export and save a new version to overwrite the photo's orientation. Sometimes the photo's dimensions and horizontal orientation don't update — we don't have the ability to rotate these photos on Strava.

  • If your photo produces an error, make sure you're uploading a supported image file; otherwise, it may be too large to process.
