Strava subscribers can fly over activities and routes on a dynamic, 3D map. Flyover is only available on the Strava app and not yet on the Strava website. You can see Flyovers for your own routes, suggested routes, activities, segments, and any other Strava activities you can access.

- Find your GPS-based activity under Activities on your You or Profile page.
- Tap the play button in your activity to start the Flyover video.

- From the maps tab, select the save icon to the right of the search bar.
- Open your route and tap the play button in the bottom right corner to start the Flyover video.
To View a Flyover on Your Segment
Strava subscribers can view a 3D flyover playback of their segment from their activity details page, including live stats like distance and elevation.
- Navigate to your segments from the activity details page.
- Select a segment and push the play button found on the bottom right of your map.
Viewing Your Flyover
- The video will start automatically. You can pause and play, speed it up, or use the scrubbable progress bar to control the speed.
- You can adjust the camera angle by scrolling and pinching to zoom. Selecting Re-Center will snap the camera to the original flyover camera angle and zoom.
- The map will be overlaid with your activity title, real-time speed, distance, and elevation. Tap the three-dot menu in the upper right to toggle the display statistics on or off.
Strava subscribers can share their Flyover on Instagram. Additionally, you can share links to your Flyover to Instagram messaging, Facebook, or other social media. Select the share icon from your Activity Details Page or your Flyover page to upload your Flyover to your Instagram story, Facebook, or other social media. To share your Flyover on other apps, select the “More” button.
For longer activities, the flyover video may take more time to generate. You'll receive a push notification once your video is ready.
Shared Flyover videos will respect your map visibility and privacy zones by default.
