The Ladder app and Strava

You can sync your Strava account to your Ladder App, share activities with Strava, and track your fitness goals. This app is only available on iOS and not Android. Follow the steps below to connect your Ladder account with Strava.

Connecting Strava with the Ladder app for iOS

    1. Open the Ladder App and go to your profile page. 
    2. Open up your app settings
    3. Select Connected Apps and tap on Strava
    4. Log into your Strava account and authorize the connection.

Recording Activities on Ladder:

    1. Open the Ladder app on your Apple Watch.
    2. You will then be prompted to start an activity in the Ladder app from your iPhone.
      1. Opening the Ladder app first will also work if your Apple watch is connected to your iPhone.
      2. The app will display a prompt if your watch is connected and ready for the workout.
    3. Select your workout after approving health permissions.
    4. You can then control the workout and view your heart rate on your Apple Watch while the activity is in progress on your iPhone.
    5. After establishing a connection with Strava, any completed activities will automatically sync from Ladder.

Do I need to change my activity type?

All activities will be uploaded to Strava as the "workout" activity type.

Can I use the Ladder app on Android?

The Ladder app can be used on an iPhone or with an Apple Watch, not Android.

Can I record my heart rate during my activity?

For your heart rate to be recorded, the Ladder app must be installed and opened while recording your activity on your Apple Watch.

What dictates the stats shown on the image sent from Ladder to Strava?

    • Avg HR and Cals Burned- If recorded with an Apple Watch.
    • Image - Either a workout poster image or a selfie.
    • Streak - If you’ve recorded multiple activities in a row.
    • Weight Lifted - If you logged your journal with weight.
    • Reps - If you logged your journal with reps.
