Android OS supported versions
Strava version 460 and later requires Android 8.0 or above. CyanogenMod and other nonstandard Android OS versions are not supported.
If your device can't run Android 8
By May 13th, 2026, the Strava app will no longer work on devices running Android 7 or earlier. If your device is no longer supported, you can still access Strava at strava.com in any browser, or log in to your account on a compatible device.

Known device issues
Some Android devices have known GPS or system issues that can affect Strava's recording. See [How to fix recording issues on Huawei phones] for more info. The following phones are not supported by the Strava mobile app:
Wiko Rainbow
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3
Samsung Galaxy Express 2
The following phones are known to experience issues where the OS cuts off the Strava app during recording:
Huawei Nova and Nova+
Huawei P8 and P8 Lite
Huawei G7 and G7 Plus
Huawei Mate 7, Mate S, Mate 8, and Mate 9
Huawei Honor 4C, Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus, and Honor 7
Huawei P9, P9 Plus, and P9 Lite
