App Version Requirements Update

Strava has updated its security requirements. To keep your app running, make sure you're on the latest version of Strava.

Why we made this change

We've rolled out security improvements to keep your account and data protected. These require an up-to-date version of the Strava app.

Update your Strava app

On iPhone: Open the App Store, search for Strava, and tap Update.

On Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for Strava, and tap Update.

Strava version 460 or later is required. By May 13th, 2026, older versions of the app will no longer work.

If you can't update the Strava app

If you're unable to update, it may be because your device's operating system needs to be updated first. Strava currently supports:

  • iOS: iOS 17 or later
  • Android: Android 8 or later

Strava no longer supports older OS versions. Not all devices can run iOS 17 or Android 8 — if yours can't, you won't be able to use the Strava mobile app by May 13th, 2026.

Here's what's still available to you:

  • Strava on the web: You can access your account, activities, and connections at strava.com from any browser. Your data is safe and will be there when you're ready.
  • A different device: You can log in to your existing Strava account on any compatible device.

Data export: You can download all of your Strava data at any time from your account settings.
