Best Efforts - Cycling

See your cycling PRs and performance history with Best Efforts, which tracks your longest rides, biggest climbing performances, fastest times at benchmark distances and best power outputs on the bike.

Best Efforts compiles your top lifetime performances and your top five performances per year in each category except power, where it produces your power curve. It also shows your best times at benchmark distances from each ride you upload.

Please note that except for Power, your virtual activities will not count towards any of your other best efforts.

Using Best Efforts

On the mobile app, access Best Efforts from the Progress tab, where your most recent lifetime top three performances across all categories are displayed.

Tap through and toggle between categories to see all your lifetime personal records (PRs), plus your second-and third-best performances at each.

In the longest ride, elevation and distance categories, tap View Analysis to see your top ten lifetime performances, top performances by year and a graph of your trend over time in that category.

In the power category, tap View Power Curve to see your best average power at time intervals from 1 second to the length of your longest ride. You can pull up power curves from multiple time periods to compare them. For more details tap here.

On each ride you upload, the activity details page includes a Best Efforts section with your best performances from that activity for every benchmark distance and/or power interval you covered.

Your performances are tracked automatically with GPS and power data from your cycling activities. A power meter or smart trainer is required to collect power data, it does not need GPS, however, the other best efforts do. You can hide a cycling effort from Best Efforts if needed.

Remove Effort

Select “Remove Effort” under a result to remove the performance from your Best Efforts history and erase the achievement banner from the activity. This will not delete the activity. If you remove a PR, your next-fastest time will become your PR.
