Changing your language in the Strava App

Strava currently supports the following languages:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese (Portugal)
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish (Spain)
  • Spanish (Latin America)
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Russian
  • Dutch
  • Korean
  • Japanese

Whenever possible, the Strava mobile app will be displayed in the same language as your phone's system language.  So, if your phone itself is set to use French, the Strava app will do the same. For all languages not listed above, the Strava app will continue to be displayed either in English or in the language you have most recently used that Strava does support.  At this point, it's not possible to manually set the Strava language to a different one than that of your phone's system.

On the Strava website, you can select from our list of supported languages from the drop-down menu on the bottom right-hand corner of any page.

Troubleshooting Language Settings

  • If your Strava app isn't displaying a language that does not match that of your phone's system language, simply toggle your phone's language to a different option and then back to your language of choice.
  • If your activities are titled in the wrong language, check that your email language is set to your desired language on Strava.com.
