Sign in With Apple

If you created a Strava account using your Apple ID by going to the sign-up page and clicking “Sign Up with Apple”, then you used Apple’s Hide My Email feature. This feature assigns a separate proxy email address to your Strava account, which appears as: xxxxx@privaterelay.appleid.com. Emails sent to your proxy email address are forwarded by Apple to the email address associated with your Apple account.

Change Your Email from the Proxy Address

You can change your email address from the proxy email assigned by Apple, but you'll need to first set a password for your Strava account. Go to https://www.strava.com/account/recover and enter the proxy email address that Apple assigned to your Strava account. You should receive a link to reset your password within minutes. Once you have set a password for your Strava account, you will be able to update your email address. Please refer to our article' How to Change Your Email Address' for more information.

When changing the email address on your Strava account and encountering the error message, “This is not a valid email address,” it's possible that you already have a Strava account associated with that new email address. Please log out of your current account and delete this duplicate account. Then, log back in and update your email information.

Enable the Sign in with Apple Login Option

If you want to use Apple to sign in to your existing Strava account, please follow the instructions below:

    1. Ensure that your Strava account uses the same email address as your Apple ID account.
    2. The next time you log in to Strava, click the "Sign In with Apple" login option.
    3. When you're asked which email to use, you must select "Share your email". You cannot use the option to hide your email if you would like to link to an existing Strava account.

Your Strava account will then be automatically linked to your Apple ID account.

If you cannot access your Strava account, do not have access to your old email, or are not registered with an account, please contact our support team and provide as much information as possible to help verify your account.
