Meta Glasses and Strava

Strava athletes can now overlay their performance metrics directly onto their photos and videos captured with Oakley and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. This integration lets you create dynamic, shareable moments that show off both your effort and your perspective on the move.

Media captured during your activity can be shared to the Strava activity recorded at that same time, allowing your photos and videos to pair with your workout automatically. You can also share your media on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms.

Connecting Strava to Meta Glasses                                        

To connect your Strava account, open the Meta AI app and navigate to the Glasses tab. From there, select Settings (the gear icon), then choose App Connections → Strava → Connect Strava. You’ll be prompted to log in and authorize the connection.

If you’d like to disconnect your accounts, return to the same menu and select Disconnect Strava.

Overlaying Your Performance Metrics

To add Strava stats to your photos or videos, open your Meta AI Gallery and select the media you want to edit. Tap Stats, choose the metrics you’d like to display—such as distance, pace, heart rate, or power—then tap Save. When you share to Strava, the edited media will automatically sync with the activity you recorded during that time.

Does this integration work with all Meta glasses?
No. The integration is compatible with all Oakley Meta and Ray-Ban Meta glasses, except for Ray-Ban Stories, which are not supported.

What accounts do I need?
You’ll need the Meta AI app, which can be created with an email address or linked to an existing Facebook or Instagram account.

Can I share media to any Strava activity?
Media can only be shared with the Strava activity that took place during the same time frame as your recording. However, you can export your media to your phone’s Photos app and manually upload it to a different activity if you prefer.

What types of metrics can I overlay?
You can overlay both summary and real-time metrics, including distance, pace, heart rate, and power.
