Strava and Tractive

Integrate your Tractive and Strava app to share your dog's activities and track your fitness goals. Follow these steps to connect your Tractive and Strava App.

In the Tractive app for iOS and Android:

1. Open the Tractive app and tap the Account tab in the lower right corner.
2. Scroll down and select Connect Apps.
3. From the Connect Apps page, connect with Strava.
4. Tap on Continue and you will be prompted to Authorize the connection.

A confirmation that you have successfully connected accounts should appear after authorization. You cannot connect your Strava account to multiple Tractive accounts or vice versa. If you would like to disconnect Strava from your Tractive App, follow the above steps, and in Connect Apps click Remove next to Strava.

Recording and Uploading Walks:

Once connected, any walk recorded on Tractive will automatically upload to your Strava account. A walk can only be saved in the Tractive app when it lasts a minimum of 1 minute and covers more than 0 meters.

To record a walk:

1. Go to the Map tab in the bottom left corner.
2. Select Walk and begin to record.
3. When you are finished, press End to stop the recording.
4. Your activity will automatically sync to your connected Strava account.

When you use Tractive to track your walk, the app records how long your walk lasts by noting when you start and stop it with a button press. However, the app stops recording your location if you stop moving before you press the button to end your walk. This means the last location sent to Strava has a timestamp from before you press the button to stop. So, the time Strava shows for your walk might be shorter than the duration you see in the Tractive app. Please note that you cannot manually synchronize your walks to Strava and if a walk is updated or deleted in the Tractive app, it not be reflected on Strava.
