Streaks on Strava

The weekly Streaks feature on Strava enables athletes to track their consistency over time and build weekly momentum. To keep their streak alive, Strava users must upload once a week. You can view your Streaks on the Progress tab, found under the You tab. This new feature is available to free users and Strava subscribers.

Streak Qualifications

  • Uploads must be weekly and need to be 60 seconds or longer.
  • A week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.
  • All activity types will count for streaks, including manual uploads.
  • All privacy settings count.
  • If you start recording an activity in the evening of one day and it ends the next day, the activity will be counted for the day it was started. The timezone is the same as the athletes'.

All device uploads will count as long as the activity recorded is over 60 seconds. If your device has been inactive for several weeks, your streak will be updated to show all activity once you sync it again.

Additionally, activities uploaded to Strava as .tcx, .fit, or .gpx files before January 1, 2009, will not count toward a streak.

Streak banners are available for activities in weeks 2-5 and for major milestones such as 10, 15, 25, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years. There is no feature available to disable these notifications at this time.

Troubleshooting Streaks

Why did my weekly Streak end?

Your weekly Streak will end if no qualifying activity is uploaded to your Strava account during a given week. To maintain a streak, at least one activity lasting 60 seconds or more must be uploaded between Monday and Sunday.

I recorded an activity that wasn't uploaded. Can I restore my Streak?

Yes. If you completed an activity during the affected week but didn't upload it to Strava, you can still upload it after the week has ended to restore your streak.

You can upload the activity directly to Strava from the website or app, or sync the activity from a connected device or third-party platform such as Garmin Connect or Wahoo Fitness.

Once the activity appears on your Strava account, your Weekly Streak will update automatically.

What happens if I delete an activity that counted toward a Streak?

If you delete the only qualifying activity for a given week, your Weekly Streak will end. If the activity was deleted accidentally, you may be able to restore it. Once the activity is restored to your Strava account, your Weekly Streak will update automatically.

Please see our How to Restore a Deleted Activity article for the instructions on how to restore a deleted activity.
