Athletes who subscribe to Strava can take advantage of heart rate analysis. By default, we determine your heart rate zones by estimating your max heart rate based on your age. The formula Strava uses is 220 minus age. While this works for a large number of athletes, it may not work for you. For those athletes who know their specific heart rate zones, we allow you to customize them to fit your specific physiology.
- Enter your max heart rate in your profile settings, then select "My Performance" from the left-side menu.
- Customize your heart rate zones in your profile settings by selecting the Custom Heart Rate Zones option and sliding the zone endpoints along the scale.
